Najaf shines in SL league


Pakistan cricketer Najaf Latif has excelled in the Sri Lankan domestic league with his all-round performance. Playing for Sidhva Radhorao Cricket Club Sri Lanka, Najaf scored a total of 364 runs including a century and three half centuries while with his spin bowling, he took 15 wickets and steered his club to the quarter-finals of the SL league. He was also one of the best performers of the previous year. Najaf was the best performer of the Inter-district Under-19 in 2008 having an average of 75.75 and in the inter-region had recorded an average of 52.44, in the following year 2009 he averaged 92.58 in the inter-district and 45.35 in the inter-region tournament. In 2010 inter-region his average was 52.48 while 49.25 in the inter-district under-19 tournament but the selection flukes compelled him to play in the Sri Lankan League.
