Former Punjab governor Khalid Maqbool refused to return his driver back to the police department after claiming that he was entitled to keeping a driver for five years and a personal assistant for four years on Thursday.
The former governor told the media that it was his constitutional right to keep his driver for five years.
The incident is similar to the forceful building of a security officials’ cabin by Punjab Advocate General Khwaja Haris. He had refused to keep the officials deployed for his security until the cabin was built.
