A man gunned down a boy and injured his own daughter for ‘honour’ in Al-Mustafa Colony here in the Sabzazar area of the city on Thursday. The incident took place in Al-Mustafa Colony neighbourhood of Sabzazar Police precincts. Police said the injured 18-year-old girl had developed ‘illicit relations” with a 20-year-old boy named Abid Hussain Hashim. They said that on Thursday, the girl invited Hashim over to her aunt’s house in Al-Mustafa Colony where she had been staying for the last few days. The incident took place when the father of the girl, Abid Hussain Bhatti, arrived and found them both in a “compromising posture.” Infuriated, Bhatti whipped out his pistol and fired shots at them.
Shopkeeper robbed: A cable operator allegedly robbed, kidnapped and tortured a computer shopkeeper and threw him on the street on Thursday. Cable operator Shahbaz Jutt allegedly raided a computer shop owned by Hamid Butt with an accomplice and abducted him from his computer shop at Margazar Colony. He robbed Butt’s shop of all the cash before abducting him and tortured him until he was unconscious. Hamid was found unconscious in the same area a few hours later. The police have registered a case against Shahbaz and his accomplice.
Minor girl wounded in Salamatpura roof collapse: A 6-year-old girl was injured when the roof of her house collapsed on Thursday here in Salamat Pura. Rescue 1122 officials said they rescued Adeeba after she got trapped under the debris and took her to a hospital. Doctors said her condition was stable.
accidents: Five people were seriously injured in two separate road accidents in the city on Thursday. According to Edhi and Rescue 1122 officials, a mini-truck flipped over because of over-speeding on Ravi Road leaving three occupants of the vehicle injured. The injured were brought to a hospital where they were identified as Amir, Abbas and Mateen. Doctors said they were out of danger.

Fire: Furniture, cash and other valuables worth thousands of rupees were reduced to ashes when a fire broke out in a house located near Chuburgi because of short circuiting on Thursday. Edhi officials said the fire had broken out in a house of a man named Azeem. No injury or loss of life was reported in the incident.
CIA busts drug trafficking attempt: CIA Police arrested drug traffickers involved in transporting drugs to Indonesia and seized all their illegal narcotics on Thursday. According to the CIA, fashion model Iqbal and his accomplice Shakeel were caught red-handed with Rs 0.6 million in cash and a heavy quantity of drugs. The head of the drug-trafficking group, Imran managed to flee. Police officials said the group was involved in smuggling drugs to Indonesia. Some of their partners in Indonesia had already been convicted for drug trafficking, the officials added.
