A planned 15-day public fast by Indian anti-corruption activist Anna Hazare was postponed Thursday to prepare the venue in New Delhi for the crowds of supporters expected to attend. Hazare, who is currently in Delhi’s Tihar jail, had been due to leave and begin his hunger strike Thursday afternoon at an open venue in the capital used for political rallies and festivals.“It seems that it is taking time to prepare (the venue) for his arrival, so he will stay in jail overnight and leave tomorrow (Friday),” said Aswathi Muralidharan, a spokeswoman for Hazare’s India Against Corruption campaign.
