BHC seeks replies in Bugti murder case

Dissatisfied with the progress, Balochistan High Court sought replies from federal and provincial government for not writing letters to the Interpol for the arrest of those accused in the Akbar Bugti murder case.
Chief Justice Qazi Faez Esa and Justice Muhammad Hashim Kakar were hearing the case. Federal Government through Deputy Attorney General Malik Sikandar Khan submitted that it had sought five documents from the provincial government for extradition of accused in Nawab Akbar Khan Bugti’s murder case.
The DAG said without the provision of these documents progress could not be made.
The CJ said no such condition was mentioned in the affidavit which was submitted by the federal interior secretary and this new requirement was tantamount to contempt of court.
The bench once again expressed complete dissatisfaction over the performance of the investigation officer.
The court adjourned the hearing till September 7. Nawabazada Jamil Bugti, eldest son of Nawab Akbar Khan Bugti, while talking to reporters said the incumbent government was the main accused in the case, adding that the government was making lame excuses during the hearing.
