A roadside bomb tore through a minibus in western Afghanistan on Thursday, killing 22 civilians and wounding 11 others, the local administration spokesman told AFP.
Women and children were among the victims. The bus, packed with passengers, was travelling between the district of Obe in Herat province and the provincial capital, Moheyddin Noori said.
“Fourteen people, all civilians, were killed and 11 others are injured. Women and children are among the casualties,” he added.
