The Pakistan Railways Sports Board celebrated the Independence Day at Railway Stadium Lahore with full enthusiasm. Pakistan Railways Sports Board Vice President Saeed Iqbal Khan hosted the National Flag along with Sports Officer Rashad Mahmood Butt and other officials, coaches, sportsmen, sportswomen and railway employees. Children Races of Boys and Girls (Under 8, 10 and 12 years) were held after the flag hosting ceremony. Exhibition matches of Tug of War, Basketball, Weightlifting, Gymnastic and Boxing were also arranged between National/International Athletes. Prizes to winners and sweets to children were also distributed by the chief guest.
Girls U-8: First Marriam, Second Maham Noor, Third Esha Arshad.
Girls U-12: First Amina, Second Esha Afzal, Third Nimra Asif.
Boys U-8: First Shahzaib, Second Sami Iqbal, Third Abdul Javed.
Boys U-10: First Hamaed Aftab, Second Waqar Ali, Third Abu Bakar.
Boys U-14: First Muhammad Bilal, Second Muhammad Faizan, Third Muhammad Aslam.
Railways coaches Manzoor Ali Arif, M Ayub, M Azeem, Naeem Alam, M Yousaf, M Shafique, Awais Akbar, Mehmood Ahmed, MM Alam and Javed Malik were also awarded souvenirs.
