Power shortfall declines in the country: PEPCO spokesperson

Power shortfall has been reduced to 2445 megawatt all over the country and load shedding is being observed for 7 hours in urban areas and 10 hours in rural areas.
PEPCO spokesperson told the supply of electricity stands at 14558 megawatt while demand is registered as 17001 megawatt. This way power shortfall stands curtailed at 2443 megawatt. 690 megawatt power is being supplied to Karachi at present.
Spokesperson told that electricity was being produced 5869 megawatt by hydal resources, 2026 megawatt by thermal, 6547 megawatt by IPPs and 116 megawatt by rental power plants.
