New Khan Club won the second Jashan-e-Azadi Ramadan Inter-Club Badminton Tournament title after beating PHA Club in the final here at New Khan hall on Tuesday. In the final, New Khan Club defeated PHA Club by 3-0. Wajid Ali and Adnan Aziz (NK) bt Habib and Shafiq (PHA) by 21-13, 21-8, Kashif and Intikhab Akram (NK) bt Atiq and Umer (PHA) by 21-18, 21-14, Kashif and Faizan (NK) bt Atiq and Waqas (PHA) by 21-16, 19-21, 22-20. The tournament was organised by the Punjab Badminton Association with the support of the Punjab Olympic Association.
Rana Ishtiaq was the Organising Secretary while 14 clubs participated in the tournament. Anti-Narcotic Special Judge Ch. Zafar Iqbal was the chief guest on the occasion who distributed shields and cash prizes to the winner and runners-up. Pakistan Badminton Federation Secretary General and MPA Amir Hayat Khan Rokhri and Syed Naqi Mohsin were also present at the occasion.
