Malik insists he still has a lot of cricket left in him

Former Pakistani captain, Shoaib Malik insists he will come out of the trouble before the PCB’s integrity committee and would once again be part of the national team.
Talking to journalists after the committee meeting, Malik said that he was full of hope that he would be cleared by the committee. However, reports suggested that the committee which also called Danish Kaneria was not convinced with the statements of both the players. But Malik is full of confidence to play in the later part of the Zimbabwe series.
The committee, however, postponed the decision about his eligibility for national obligations.
Malik appeared before the PCB’s integrity committee and explained his position about the controversial 95,000 pounds, which were earlier found in his bank account. Malik later said: “I have provided all the necessary documents to the governing body, and hope that the decision will go in my favour. Now I am waiting for the decision. I am hopeful they will clear me and hoping that I may be included in the Zimbabwe series,” Malik added. The flamboyant all-rounder has been out of the picture since his last international appearance for Pakistan in August 2010. During the span of his absence from the national side, he also missed the ICC World Cup 2011, in which the Men in Green reached the semi-finals. Malik has once again lamented exclusion from the World Cup squad, insisting that there is no occasion in his life as terrible as missing the showpiece event. “Cricket is my passion and love and I cannot think about leaving it. But I am very disappointed as I was not included in the national squad for World Cup at the time when I was in great form and my domestic record is a proof of it.”
