Governor Sindh Dr. Ishratul Ebad Wednesday called on Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani here and discussed a range of issues.
The duo discussed law and order situation of Sindh specially that of Karachi and reconciliation process.
According to media reports, this meeting was held in context of MQM’s rejoining in the government as the Prime Minister invited Muttahida to again join collation.
Earlier on Tuesday, Dr. Ishratul Ebad met President Asif Ali Zardari at the Presidency and informed him that the MQM had agreed in principle to rejoin the coalition government.
Sources in the government say the MQM will be joining the government in three phases and there will be no change in the administrative set-up of Karachi and Hyderabad. In the first phase, ministers and two advisers would be appointed in the Sindh cabinet, while in the next phase three MQM ministers will be inducted into the federal cabinet.
In the third phase, the MQM would be awarded a ministry in the Azad Jammu and Kashmir government.
