While celebrating 14 August we have to ponder about our position among the other nations of the world. Has the time not come to wage a final war for the betterment of the situation? We should have started a sacred struggle. A widespread debate is needed to set the targets of this struggle for the revival of the national honours and dignity.
Our plus point is the hardworking habit of our middle class in different working conditions, but the benefits of their hardworking transfers to those clever enough in upper classes.
Rewards, respect and honour should be on merit. Steps should be taken to facilitate the common man in day to day living. Indirect taxes should be imposed keeping in view the standards of other nations in this regards where rule of law is observed in its true spirit.
We must widen our tax net by bringing all tax dodgers into the tax net who have been fooling different governments for many years. In this way, we would be able to utilise the resources inside the country, giving rebirth to our dying economy.
