At least four NATO tankers were torched in the country’s northwest on Monday.
According to reports, the explosion occurred in one of the oil tankers in Khyber Agency’s Landikotal area which resulted in a container catching fire. Firefighters reached the site, cordoning off the area and moving other tankers to safer places. Separately, unidentified miscreants set ablaze another NATO oil tanker by opening fire on it near Kamra. The malefactors attacked the tanker carrying oil supplies for NATO troops, stationed in Afghanistan near Kamra. The tanker caught fire as a result of gunshots. According to reports, fire brigade squad personnel brought the fire under control after two hours of continuous effort.
