“I have dreamt that the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) will rejoin the government. Our friends, the MQM, will be sworn in,” said Sindh Home Minister Manzoor Wasan on Sunday.
The home minister was talking to the media after paying his respects to the late Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah at the Quaid’s mausoleum to commemorate Pakistan’s Independence Day. When asked for the exact date the MQM would rejoin the government, the home minister said, “MQM will not rejoin the government after Eidul Fitr, but it is likely to happen within three or four days.”
LAW AND ORDER: Talking about the prevalent law and order situation in Karachi, the home minister said that 50 people have been recently arrested, whereas two Kalashnikovs and 19 TT pistols have also been recovered from their possession. The minister said that the list of names of the arrested people and their affiliation with religious or political parties would be declared later on.
