Woman nabbed for killing servant

The Kahna Police on Monday arrested Sadia Asif, accused of clubbing her 12-year-old servant to death on complaint of the deceased’s father. Deceased Taqi Usman was clubbed to death when he forgot to feed Sadia’s pet dog on Sunday. The Kahna SHO said that Sadia was arrested after a case was registered against her.
Four people, including a woman, were injured in four different shooting incidents in the city. According to Edhi officials, Constable Ghulam Rasool was going somewhere when unidentified armed robbers intercepted him at Peco Road in Millat Park Police precincts and demanded valuables. When he resisted, they shot him and fled, leaving Rasool injured.
Separately, Nasreen, 28, was shot injured at Masih Street Number 3 in the Naseerabad Police precincts due to unknown reasons. Also on Monday, Sheikh Ahsan, 30, was shot injured when a scuffle broke out between two parties at Moon Market. A 22-year-old motorcyclist was injured when his bike hit a footpath while trying to save pedestrians near Wagah Border. The injured was identified as Amir, a resident Bakar Mandi. Around 456 people were injured from August 13 to 14 in different road mishaps. In 268 road accidents, 251 people were seriously injured while 80 slightly injured. According to Rescue 1122, the emergency service responded to 405 emergencies with an average of 6.4 minutes. Around 180 motorcycle accidents were reported in this period. The data showed that eight one-wheeling incidents happened in the city.
An unidentified 28-year-old man was found dead under mysterious circumstances in the Gawal Mandi Police precincts. The deceased was lying dead along a roadside near Ice Street in Gawal Mandi when some passer-by spotted him and informed police, which reached the spot and removed the body to the city morgue. Police said that the victim was a drug addict and died of an overdose.
A motorcycle theft accused died at a local hospital. The deceased was identified as Qaiser Mahmood, 40, son of Muhammad Hussain, a resident of Servant Quarters located on Shalimar Road. According to details, Qaiser was in jail since June. Shadman SHO Zulfiqar Ali said that the victim was a tuberculosis patient and shifted to Services on August 9.
Valuables worth thousands of rupees were reduced to ashes when fire broke out due to short circuit in a shop inside Commercial Market, Y-Block, DHA due to short circuit. Fire fighters of the Rescue 1122 reached the spot and controlled the fire. No casualties were reported in the incident.
