NHMP joins citizens to mark August 14

The National Highways & Motorway Police (NHMP) N-5 Central on Sunday celebrated the Independence Day with national spirit and zeal and made extraordinary arrangements to celebrate the day with commuters. On directions of NHMP Inspector General (IG) Zafarullah Khan, N-5 Central Zone under supervision of Deputy Inspector General (DIG) N-5 Central Fateh Sher Joiya, celebrated Independence Day by erecting special stalls at all toll plazas and important places from Lahore to Rahim Yar Khan and distributed national flags, flowers and candies among commuters, especially children.
The national flag was also hoisted at NHMP N-5 Central Line Headquarters by Sector Commander Central-I SSP Inkasar Khan. A special prayer was held for martyrs of NHMP and bouquets and other gifts were sent to their families. SSP Inkasar Khan visited NHMP Guidance Centre Lahore where the Independence Day stall was erected. Inkasar, DSP Malik Ghulam Rasool, officers of the mobile education unit and other officers distributed national flags, flowers along with briefing material and pamphlets with road safety slogans.
Officers on duty were asked to render maximum help to commuters and unless there was any severe violation, give maximum briefing to violators about road safety instead of issuing penalty tickets.
