The nation celebrated the 65th Independence Day of Pakistan with traditional zeal and fervor on Sunday, renewing the pledge to make the country strong and prosperous.
The day dawned with special prayers in mosques of the twin cities for the stability, prosperity, security and progress of the country. This was followed by a 31-cannon salute in Islamabad and 21-cannon salute in Lahore, Karachi, Quetta, Peshawar and Azad Kashmir.
