It is very unfortunate that neither the government nor the judiciary has taken notice of the lifestyle of those who are behind the bars because of looting and plundering the wealth and resources of this poor nation.
Those who have looted Punjab Bank, those involved in the Forex scandal, NICL case, Hajj scam and many other plunderings, are enjoying five-star privileges in jail.
For God’s sake, can anyone go and check why these criminals are enjoying the facilities of refrigerators, televisions, microwaves, mobile phones, UPS, etc? Can anyone notice why jail administration is providing such VIP treatment to these criminals? What message we are giving to the young generation? Is it that whosoever will loot and plunder the most will enjoy VVIP treatment in jail.
These so-called white collar criminals are spending hundreds of thousands of rupees from the money they have looted in greasing the palms of the jail authorities.
Let’s see if any suo moto action will be taken or if the CM will take notice of these goings-on in the Punjab Jail Department.
