FIA given more time to ascertain Musharraf’s assets

The Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) on Saturday gave additional time to Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) to collect the details of moveable and immoveable property of former military dictator and president General (r) Pervez Musharraf, an accused in the Benazir Bhutto (BB) murder case. The hearing of the case was held at Adiyala Jail in the court of ATC Judge Shahid Raffique, who awarded more time to FIA to collect property details of Pervez Musharraf. The next hearing of the case would be held on August 20.
FIA Prosecutor Chaudhry Muhammad Azhar sought more time from the court to gather the details of moveable and immoveable property of Musharraf he owned across the country. The court also ordered the prosecution to provide the defence lawyer with the copies of statements of BB’s political secretary Naheed Khan and Senator Safdar Abbasi on the next date of hearing.
