At least 15 people were killed and several others injured as a huge explosion occurred in a private hotel at Dera Allah Yar, officials said on Sunday.
The bomb blast ripped through a roadside hotel in Dera Allah Yar city in the southwestern province, witnesses and rescue workers said.
The hotel was destroyed by the blast, which damaged nearby shops and buildings. Witnesses said the bomb was placed in the hotel’s ground floor. The powerful explosion was heard from several kilometres away.
Several persons were trapped under the debris and local residents were working to pull them out of the rubble, according to witnesses.
