Drug smuggling is in full swing in the French colony situated in F-7/4, in the jurisdiction of Kohsar police station. Drug dealers are openly selling opium, fake liquor, hashish and powders while the police play the role of a silent spectator.
Pakistan Today was told that a large number of slum dwellers indulged in drug dealing.
Residents said the future of their children was at stake due to the situation. Kohsar police SHO said the police conducted raids to arrest drugs dealers, however workers hid under ground, thus, remained active. The residents of Islamabad demanded higher authorities take notice of the situation and drug dealing be eliminated from the colony.
