Local police imposed clause-144 to prevent one-wheeling incidents in their bid to avert any casualties on the eve of the Independence Day.
Celebrations in connection with Independence Day are in full swing across the country with sporty motorcyclists resolved to mark the day in their particular fashion.
It should be mentioned here that the number of deaths in this dangerous sport is persistently on the rise, as at least nine youths lost their lives in Punjab districts including Lahore last year on freedom day.
Police took custody of 2500 motorbikes and cases were registered against hundreds of people that year.
Police made special arrangements to stop one-wheeling incidents on this Independence Day with over 10,000 police deployed on city roads, according to SSP Operations.
