Despite orders of the Lahore High Court, more than 25 employees of Benazir Bhutto hospital have been deprived of their salaries. Sixty employees of class four were sacked during the previous regime; however, the Lahore High Court delivered restoration orders of the sacked employees in May 2011. The reinstated employees have not yet been paid salaries.
The employees said they had suffered excessively due to non-payment of salaries in Ramadan, especially with Eid approaching. The employees demanded of Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif to ensure payment of salaries before Eid.
