The Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) on Thursday accepted the bail plea of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) MNA Anjum Aqeel in a fraud case. Special Judge Central Syed Akhlaq Husain Shah granted bail in the case against surety bonds worth Rs 200,000.
Aqeel did not appear in court on health grounds, but Laeeq Khan, the co-accused, was present. The complainant, Sabahat Aliase, presented the settlement deal between him and Aqeel. The court accepted the bail plea of Aqeel and four other accused in the case. The court also extended his interim bail in the National Police Foundation land scam case until September 7.
