The United States Embassy on Thursday condemned IED (improvised explosive device) attack and a separate suicide bomb attack in Peshawar, says a press statement.
The attacks killed and injured many people, including four police officers. Our thoughts and sympathies are with the victims and their families. These targeted attacks on police forces are a reminder of the courageous risks the Pakistani police take to protect their communities.
Since the beginning of 2011, more than 500 people are reported to have died in Pakistan from IED attacks. These senseless killings are an affront to the people of Pakistan and to all humanity.
