Several rooms of the Bakhshali Government Degree College were partially damaged when a device exploded on Wednesday.
Police officials said unidentified men had placed an explosive device of around 5 kilogrammes at the newly constructed Bakhshali Government Degree College on Sawaldher road.
Two rooms, a veranda and a kitchen were damaged. Sources said the college was closed as students had their summer vacations. No casualty was reported in the incident. Officials reminded that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Taliban had made Amjad as the Ameer for Mardan district, adding that he was accused in different cases and was wanted to Mardan Police. They said militants were still present in the area and committed violence when something went against them. Chura Police Station registered case against unidentified men and started investigation.
