Chairperson Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP), Ms. Farzana Raja has said that the number of beneficiary families registered with BISP would rise up to 7 million till the next month. She said that 96% of the nationwide poverty survey has already been completed and till now more than 5.4 million families have been enrolled with the BISP. She said that Pakistan Peoples Party is a movement of giving the rights of the people at their doorsteps and BISP is successfully advancing this mission.
Ms. Farzana Raja said this while addressing the cheques distributing ceremony at Governor House Lahore under the Waseela-e-Haq Scheme of the BISP. Besides others, Governor Punjab Sardar latif Ahamd Khosa, Federal Minister Samina Khalid Ghurki, Makhdoom Shahab-ud-Din, Imtiaz Safdar Warriach, Sami Ulalh Khan and Tanvir Ashraf kaira were also present on the occasion.
