Aus-Pak army expedition scales Spantik

A joint mountaineering expedition of the Pakistan and Australian armies scaled the 7,020 metre peak of Mount Spantik. According to an Inter Services Public Relations statement, the 14 member expedition consisted of eight Pakistanis and six Australians and was led by Lieutenant Colonel Ahsan Akhtar Kiyani and Major Zac Zacharias. After traversing the peak, the expedition returned to Skardu.
