At least nine people more were killed in different incidents of firing and torture on Tuesday, as some unidentified persons gunned down two people in Jamia Cloth Market and Liaquatabad No 2 areas of Karachi, local police said.
A man was also shot dead by unidentified motorcyclists in Purana Haji Camp area. In another incident, a body was found from Napier area which could not be identified. Some unidentified persons opened fire on a shop and killed two people namely Zain and Mansoor in Abul Hassan Asfahani area of Gulshan-e-Iqbal.
On the other hand, two persons were shot dead during a clash between the rival groups in Gulistan-e-Johar. The police launched a search operation in different areas, including Gulistan-e-Johar, Rabia City, Laasi Goth and Ayoub Goth areas of Sohrab Goth, Quaid-e-Azam Colony, Gulshan-e-Iqbal and Jaffar Tayar Society in Malir and arrested more than 60 suspected persons.
