‘Beautiful Pakistan’ exhibition opens at Rawalpindi Arts Council

In connection with the Independence Day celebrations, the Rawalpindi Arts Council has arranged an exhibition of oil paintings titled ‘Beautiful Pakistan’, displaying the works of internationally renowned artist Misbahuddin Qazi. The exhibition opened on Monday.
Punjab Assembly Member Raja Hanif was the chief guest at the inauguration of the exhibition. Speaking on the occasion, Hanif said, “Pakistan was created as a result of the sacrifices of our ancestors, and now it is our duty to make it a peaceful country which functions in accordance with the Quaid’s vision- as is depicted in Qazi’s artworks.”
Praising RAC’s role in the promotion of art and cultural, the MPA said RAC had always played pivotal role in arranging programmes that highlighted art and provided a creative atmosphere for visitors. About the artist, the MPA said, “Misbahuddin Qazi needs no introduction; his work speaks for itself. He spent his life serving art through his unique brushstrokes. Qazi’s rendering of the Potohar region in some of the works displayed in this exhibition reveal the hidden beauty of the region.”
The exhibition displays some fifty oil paintings which depict beautiful scenes from various areas of Pakistan, such as Gilgit, Skardu, and Muzaffarabad. This exhibition is Qazi’s 29th solo show.
The exhibition will remain open for public until August 11.
