The ongoing unrest in the country is not the people’s but the government’s failure, Muslim League-Nawaz President Nawaz Sharif said on Saturday.
He was talking to PML-N MPAs and MNAs. Nawaz Sharif made an appeal to the nation to celebrate Independence Day with enthusiasm and fervor so that a message is delivered that the nation was still strong. He also appealed to the people to hoist national flags at their houses and light lamps on August 13 and 14.
The meeting, while pledging to celebrate the Independence Day in a befitting manner, also considered its strategy in this regard.
Addressing the meeting, Nawaz Sharif said the entire nation should give a message of hope and courage by celebrating the Independence Day enthusiastically. He said Pakistan was faced with many internal and external problems like terrorism, corruption, unemployment, load-shedding, price-hike, poverty and ignorance and negativity will sow seeds of regionalism, linguistic and sectarianism. He said history was witness to the fact that Pakistani nation has always overcome the difficulties. He said the nation had faced foreign aggression, dictatorship, earthquakes and floods with determination in the past, similarly, now it has full capability to meet these problems.
