Met Office predicted widespread rains in the different parts of the country from August 8th to 14th. The current meteorological conditions indicate that a strong weather system is in developing over Utter Pardesh (India) and would move towards Pakistan in the next few days.
The weather system is expected to bring widespread rains to Punjab, KPK, Sindh, Northeast Balochistan and Kashmir. Heavy rain fall may also generate urban or flash flooding in the said areas. Rain also occurred in the different parts of Lahore on Saturday which made the weather pleasant. According to the Met Office, scattered rain and thundershowers are expected in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Lahore, Sargodha, Faisalabad, Sahiwal, Bahawalpur, Hazara, Peshawar, Bannu, Kohat divisions and Kashmir today (Sunday). 81 percent of relative humidity was recorded in Lahore on Saturday morning whereas 75 percent in the evening.
