The municipal commissioner of the city’s East district, Muhammad Ali Sheikh, visited the PB Barar Society, Shabbir Ahmed Usmani Road, University Road and other areas of district East to inspect sanitary conditions, according to a statement issued on Friday.
On the occasion, he directed the staff concerned to employ all available resources including machinery and manpower to resolve the long-standing problems of the people.
Cleaning work is being carried out in the district, especially in the surroundings of mosques, imambargahs and eidgahs.
Sheikh also directed the officials concerned to finalise arrangements for the Independence Day celebrations.
XEN Nisar Soomro and other officials were also present on the occasion.
