Residents of Faislabad protest against robbers in police uniforms

People here in the city took out a protest rally against the alleged involvement of policemen in robberies.
According to the details, a dozens of bandits intruded into three houses on Milat Road and stripped off the families from their valuables.
The locals informed the Milat Town police and offered resistance to the robbers.
However, police did not take any actions despite reaching the site.
The bandits, in the presence of police, opened fires that severely injured three people.
The locals staged a protest and burnt tyres against the lethargic response of police.
The police resorted to baton charge and fired tear gas to disperse the protesters.
The protesters threw stones at police in retaliation.
Police called additional force to dispersed the crowd but failed to so.
Senior police officials reached the site and assured the protesters that the officials found guilty of negligence would be punished.
After dispersing the crowd, Faisalabad City Police Officer Raey Tahir told the media that Madina Town Superintendent Abdul Qadir Qamar would investigative into the matter.
