PU arranges Friday lectures on ‘Benefits of Ramadan’

Punjab University Main Library Chief Librarian Ch Muhammad Hanif, maintaining the academic, cultural and Islamic traditions, has arranged Quran lectures on “The Benefits of Ramadan” every Friday during the holy month. The first lecture in this regard was delivered by Sheikh Zayed Islamic Centre faculty member and Jamia Mosque prayer leader Dr Mufti Abdul Basit Khan on Friday in the Main Library auditorium. A large number of students and employees attended the lecture.

GCU announces 4-year B.Com
LAHORE – The Government College University Lahore has announced initiating four-year Bachelors in Commerce B.Com (Hons) programme from this academic year. Admissions to the programme would be opened after the announcement of intermediate results. GCU Registrar Professor Anjum Nisar said that admissions to the B.Com programme would be strictly on merit. He said that only those students who have passed Higher Secondary Schools Certificate (intermediate) examination (Pre-engineering, ICS, I.Com, General Sciences and D.Com) in the first annual examinations 2011 and second annual examination 2010 are eligible to apply.
