Nilore police raided a fake beverage factory in Tumair area. The company was involved in preparing fake drinks under the names of well-reputed brands, said a police spokesman. Following a tip off, Nilore police station house officer, Inspector Tanveer Ahmed Abbassi and his team, which included Sub-Inspector Muhammad Shafique and Food Department Staff Head Inspector Raja Muhammad Ashraf, raided a poultry farm in Tumair. The beverage company was being run out of this farm and was involved in making fake bottles of Pepsi Cola, Mountain Dew and Mirinda. Police recovered three hundred cartons of fake drinks and arrested two people; Muhammad Qadeer and Saif ur Rehman. Efforts are being made to arrest Mirza Maqsood, the owner of the factory.
