PIA will take on NBP in the opening match of the first Cool and Cool Corporate Twenty20 Night Tournament today. The DHA Sports Club (Moin Khan Academy) in Phase-VIII will hold the prestigious tournament and the top players of the country will participate in the event. The event will be held from August 6 to 20 and all the matches will be telecast live on a private channel while the final will be played on August 20. All the 15 matches will start at 11pm after Taraweeh prayers.
Besides PIA and NBP, Habib Bank Limited (HBL), Karachi Electric Supply Corporation (KESC), Port Qasim Authority (PQA), Candyland, Omar Associates and Saiyed Paper Mills will take part in the tournament which will carry total prize money of Rs 906,000. The winner of the tournament will get Rs 500,000 while the runners up will get Rs 250,000. The remaining Rs 156,000 will be distributed in individual prizes. The eight teams have been divided into two groups with the top two sides from each group will qualify for the semifinals.
