LHC dismisses four court officials on corruption charges

The Lahore High Court (LHC) after a regular inquiry passed order for dismissal of four court officials including a Naib Qasid of LHC on Friday on charges of illegal gratification, corruption, misconduct, impersonation and forgery.
According to a notification, the LHC disciplinary committee dismissed from service a LHC Naib Qasid Muhammad Anwer Shah on receiving illegal gratification. Proceeding began against LHC Naib Qasid Muhammad Anwer Shah on a complaint under the High Court Establishment (appointment and conditions of service) Rules on charges of receiving illegal gratification. He was dismissed from service with effect from August 3, 2011 after charges levelled against him were found to be true.
According to another notification, district judiciary Administration Judge Justice Umer Ata Bandial dismissed Superintendent Session Courts Chiniot Javed Iqbal Ansari, Stenographer Session court Kasur Muhammad Arshad and Stenographer session court Sahiwal Shaukat Ali after they were proceeded against under the Punjab Civil Servants (Efficiency and Discipline) Rules 1999 on charges of misconduct, corruption, impersonation and forgery.
Javed Iqbal Ansari was dismissed with immediate effect by Justice Justice Umer Ata Bandial while the LHC judge ordered the concerned district and session judges to dismiss the two stenographers immediately.
