Naila Najam, the wife of Silk Bank Area Manager Najam Faiz, died on Friday. He was laid to rest at the Defence Housing Authority (DHA) Graveyard in the afternoon. Naila was the daughter of senior journalist Bashir Ahmed Qureshi and sister of Pakistan Today Executive Editor Sarmad Bashir, who is also the president of Lahore Press Club.
She left behind two sons Umair Najam and Uzair Najam and a daughter Amna Najam. Her Qul will be held on Saturday between Zohr and Asr at the Sector DD Mosque, Phase IV, DHA. President Asif Zardari and Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani have expressed grief over the loss to Mr Sarmad Bashir’s family.
