The Civil Aviation Authority rejected a US plea seeking permission to park five US planes at the Benazir International Airport Islamabad here on Saturday.
Media reports said the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) declined a US request seeking permission to parking five US planes at the airport. The planes in question are being used by Dive Core.
The head of CAA’s Investigation Cell Asif Bashir Chaudhry said that US planes had been previously parked at a Pakistan military airbase but the US had to move them after a diplomatic rift emerged between two countries. The American Embassy had sought an NOC from the aviation wing of the Interior Ministry and in return offered the ministry to use the planes when needed.
