Ansar Burney Trust International Chairman and former human rights minister Ansar Burney has strongly condemned the increasing incidents of kidnapping for ransom, murders, human trafficking, slavery, terrorism and enforced disappearances in Balochistan. Expressing his views during a visit to Balochistan on Thursday, he said some of the tribal chieftains and some very influential people in the federal and provincial governments were in the kidnapping incidents, said a press statement issued here.
Burney is visiting Balochistan these days for the release and rehabilitation of Pakistanis trafficked to Afghanistan and enslaved people in the camps in Afghanistan and Balochistan. He said the Ansar Burney Trust International had succeeded in getting 17 Pakistanis released from Afghan ‘slave’ camps and that the talks were underway for the release of more Pakistanis detained in the private jails of Afghanistan.
