Balochistan Chief Minister Nawab Muhammad Aslam Raisani said on Thursday that a sovereign and strong Pakistan was vital for everyone. He refutes the repeated claims about the existence of Quetta Shura and said Mullah Omar and Aiman al Zawahri were not present in Balochistan.
Talking to US Ambassador to Pakistan Cameron Munter, who called on him at the Chief Minister’s Secretariat, Raisani said a prosperous Pakistan was in the very interests of people of Balochistan as well as other parts of the country. He briefed the envoy on the situation in the province and said the government wanted to resolve the issue of missing persons on a priority basis.
