Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) chief Altaf Hussain has thanked Pakistan Rangers-Sindh director general and other officials for reaching the affected areas and bringing peace.
Hussain appealed to all the religious and political parties to unite for restoring and maintaining peace in Karachi.
He said that if Karachi is peaceful, Pakistan would be peaceful because peace in Karachi means prosperity for Sindh and Pakistan.
He hoped that the Rangers would reach all the affected areas in time and take action to protect the lives and properties of the people.
In a video message from London, he asked the MQM activists and Karachi’s citizens to engage every religious and political party for bringing durable peace in Karachi.

LOAD SHEDDING: The unannounced electricity load shedding during the holy month of Ramazan must stop in Karachi and other parts of the country, said MQM’s Deputy Parliamentary Leader in the National Assembly Haider Abbas Rizvi.
Rizvi said that the people are facing agonising hours of load shedding in Ramazan, particularly at the times of Sehr and Iftar.
He said that increasing the duration of load shedding, despite ample gas and furnace oil supply to the Karachi Electric Supply Company and the end of strike by its labour union, was indicative of the fact that the power company had failed miserably in its obligation to provide uninterrupted power supply to the citizens.
He added that contrary to the claims of the government, the duration of load shedding has increased to up to 18 hours in certain areas, whereas some areas have been without electricity for several days.
