Police arrest proclaimed offender

Islamabad Police on Wednesday arrested a proclaimed offender involved in committing a double murder in the city’s area of Nilore. Nilore Police Station House Officer (SHO) Tanveer Shah said the potential offender, Iftikhar Hussain alias Kharo, had been arrested in a raid conducted upon receiving a tip-off. He said the raiding party was led by Sub Inspector Muhammad Akbar. Police said a 30 bore pistol had been recovered from Iftikhar Hussain’s possession. Meanwhile, Koral Police arrested an accused, Muhammad Aslam, who had snatched a vehicle bearing registration number RIR-5363 from Sarfaraz Khan. Moreover, Assistant Sub-Inspectors Iqbal and Azeem from Shalimar Police arrested a woman Nur Bibi and recovered several items she stole from the house of Sadia Khalil, a resident of Sector F-7/3. The recovered items included three mobile phones and Rs 5,000 in cash. Also on Wednesday, Sihala Police arrested Muhammad Ifran and recovered a 30 bore pistol from his possession.
