With the advent of Ramazan the network of professional beggars has become active across Islamabad, causing great inconvenience for the residents. Swarms of beggars roam freely in the commercial centres of the city, compelling visitors for money in the name of God.
Aliyaan Khan, a resident of G-7, said waiting at traffic signals had become troublesome as a large number of beggars launched themselves at the vehicles to seek money. Residents of the city have demanded the authorities take action against professional begging immedately.
