The scheduled edition of the Pakistan-India Punjab Games for 2011, which were to be held in Indian Punjab, have been postponed to the next year, officials said on Tuesday. An official spokesman of the Indian Punjab government Sukh Dev Singh said that the Games were postponed due to the elections in India.
The Games featuring sportspersons from Pakistani and Indian Punjab provinces will now be held in the next year, the spokesman said. The first edition of the games was held in Indian Punjab in December 2004.
