An Open Mic night is once again to be held today (Wednesday) where young people are encouraged to share not only their academic and intellectual works like essays, papers, and articles, but also creative writing like poetry, short stories, along with other acts. The night is organized by the Institute of Peace and Secular Studies and is held every Wednesday at their office. Bakht Arif who is organizing it says they are happy to see the turnout of young people. “We have people from 15 to 35 years and they come up with brilliant, phenomenal work, that is not being published or officially produced anywhere,” Bakht told Pakistan Today. “This is our fifth session and we are hoping that Ramzan will not stop these wonderful creators from coming forward and bringing their stuff to show others.” Open Mic in Ramzan starts at about 6 pm, with a break for Iftar after which participants carry on themselves. Address: Institute for Peace and Secular Studies (IPSS) office
