Refuting reports of any operation in Karachi Federal Interior Minister Rehman A Malik said on Wednesday that the reservations held by Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) chief Altaf Hussain over killings in the metropolis were correct.
Talking to media here, the federal minister said efforts would be made to remove the reservations of Altaf Hussain regarding Karachi killings.
However, he went on to say no target killings occurred thus far in the city since 7am yesterday, adding that the bodies recovered from parts of city were old and decomposed.
Malik further said every possible steps would be taken up to restore law and order situation in the city.
Bodies of two people killed in Bohra Pir, as well as two other bodies of men shot to death in Islamia College and Shoe Market, Garden were brought to Civil Hospital.
It should be mentioned here that Malik presided over an important meeting to mull over law and order situation in the country. This meeting took stock of search operation conducted in various areas.
Talking to media on the occasion, Inspector General Police Sindh Wajid Ali Durrani said the spell of operations would continue in the city.
What about all those people who have lost their lives in Karachi before yesterday? Is the minister suffering from long-term amnesia by any chance?
