Lectures during Ramadan

A series of weekly lectures on the thoughts of Iqbal, Khwaja Ghulam Farid and Baba Husayn Shah on Religion & Metaphysics start at Hast o Neest Centre for Traditional Art & Culture tonight. The speaker, Dr. Shahzad Qaiser is the Vice-President of Iqbal Academy Pakistan. He has authored twelve books in English on Religion, Metaphysics and Philosophy and was awarded Sitara-e-Imtiaz for Literature in 2009. Beginning from Thursday 4th August 2011, they go on from 5:30 to 6:30 pm, are open to the public with Iftari being served. The centre is located at 10 Commercial Building, Old Anarkali, The Mall, Lahore.
The lecture topics are: Thursday 4th August: “Sufi Poetry of Baba Husayn Shah” (Punjabi and Urdu) Thursday 11th August: Iqbal on Knowledge & Religious Experience (English and Urdu) Thursday 18th August: Iqbal on the Nature of Prophecy & the Idea of Finality of Prophethood (English and Urdu) Thursday 25th August: Metaphysical Perspectives of Iqbal & Khwaja Ghulam Farid (Punjabi, Urdu and English).
