Lara and Mahesh came clean about the baby news in an interview, and said that they really hadn’t intended to hide it but were just waiting for the right time to share. Lara is three months pregnant and the baby is due towards the end of January 2012. The actress, who is in ‘Don 2’ with Shah Rukh Khan that releases Christmas 2011, also said that she had no intention of quitting movies post-delivery because Bollywood is what she truly loves. Lara also confirmed the pregnancy news on her Twitter page, posting, “Thank you so much for all ur wishes and prayers. It’s an awesome time in life right now and Mahesh and I r both very excited abt the baby!” Abhishek Bachchan was one of the first to congratulate Lara and posted: “Paaji! CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!! welcome on board.” The 33-year-old actress tweeted back saying, “Thank you so much ab! You’ll be sorted by the time our turn comes, will call for tips!!” Earlier in June, Aishwarya Rai and Abhishek confirmed that they are expecting their first baby. Lara is fondly known as ‘Lara paaji’ in Bollywood and has worked with Abhishek in two movies – ‘Mumbai Se Aaya Mera Dost’ and ‘Jhoom Barabar
Jhoom’.
